The Chico Art Center is accepting art for an upcoming virtual exhibit, “Birds of a Feather,” which will open Jan. 24 and run through July 31, 2021. This jury-free exhibit will feature artwork by artists that celebrate birds as a symbol of freedom and community. A Zoom artist talk event will accompany the exhibit, featuring a guest speaker who will share information about migrating birds in the local region and will comment on birds featured in this exhibit.
Submission deadline is Friday, Jan. 15 by midnight and the artist talk will take place at 4 p.m. Jan. 31. The entry fee of $150 will also include a ChicoOSAT.com artist page for each participant through July 31, 2021. Artists of all skill levels from Northern California are eligible to participate. Birds may be both imagined and real and all media and sizes are acceptable.
