The world’s oldest male giant panda living in a zoo made history last month as he celebrated his 35th birthday.
An An, who lives in China’s Ocean Park animal theme park in Hong Kong, is now the oldest living male giant panda in captivity. He has lived at the park for 22 years.
In human years, An An, whose name means “peace,” is roughly 105.

In the wild, the average giant panda lives between 15-20 years, while those in captivity live about 30 years.
According to The Standard, An An celebrated the milestone with an icy cake made of bamboo, sweet potato, carrot, pear and Fuji apple.
