A captive insurance company provides insurance to, and is controlled by, its owner(s). Group captives insure multiple unrelated owners and may be heterogeneous (different type of companies) or homogeneous (similar type of companies). They generally provide coverage for reasonably predictable insurance risks such as Workers Compensation, Automobile Liability, Automobile Physical Damage and/or General Liability.
But what does this mean exactly and is this right for you and your Construction Business? Join HUB on June 24th to hear from our Construction, Contractor, and Captive insurance experts.
We will discuss:
- What is a group captive and what are its benefits and drawbacks?
- How a captive could be a unique solution for your risk management program coming out of Covid
- How HUB worked with a contractor client on their group captive program over the last 10 years
