BIRD ISLAND — The Marshall amateur baseball team fell to Bird Island 9-5 on Sunday.
Zach Olsen led Marshall with two hits and two RBI while Joe Rock added two hits and Ryan Schwagel had a hit and an RBI.
Zach Olson took the loss on the mound, going five innings while allowing six runs on seven hits.
Marshall (2-4) will face Willmar on the road on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Hadley 1, Pipestone 0
HADLEY — The Hadley amateur baseball team saw some history in its 1-0 victory on Sunday as Buttermakers starter Luke Drooger threw a no-hitter against Pipestone.
Drooger threw all nine innings, allowing just two walks and struck out 10.
Max Zwart led Hadley with two hits while Justin Benda added a hit and Nick Bruning had an RBI.
Hadley (3-1) will face Adrian on the road on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Milroy Irish 14,
Worthington 4 (7 innings)
WORTHINGTON — The Milroy Irish amateur baseball team defeated Worthington 14-4 in seven innings on Sunday.
Dominic Dolan, Tyler Peterson, Anthony Dolan and Derek Riley led the Irish with two hits each. Peterson also earned the victory on the mound, going five innings while allowing one run and struck out seven.
The Irish (6-1) will face Pipestone on the road on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Milroy Yankees 7,
Sacred Heart 0
SACRED HEART — The Milroy Yankees amateur baseball team defeated Sacred Heart 7-0 on Sunday.
Matt Bauer led the Yankees with three hits and four RBI while Branden Flock added three hits and an RBI and Andy Schmidt had two hits.
Isaac Schmitt earned the victory on the mound, going seven innings while allowing just one hit and struck out 11.
The Yankees (3-1) will face New London-Spicer at home on Friday at 7:30 pm.
Granite Falls 8, Wabasso 1
WABASSO — The Granite Falls amateur baseball team defeated Wabasso 8-1 on Sunday.
Zac Enevoldsen led Granite Falls with three hits and an RBI while Bennett Knapper added three hits, Jordan Odegard had two hits and two RBI and Colton Vien had a home run and two RBI.
Dalton Anderson earned the victory on the mound, going eight innings while allowing just two hits and struck out six.
Carter Guetter led Wabasso with a home run and an RBI while Caleb Frericks added a hit. Kyle Lechner took the loss on the mound, going seven innings.
Granite Falls (2-1) will face Raymond at home next Sunday at 5 p.m. while Wabasso (0-3) will face Marshall at home next Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
Friday
Lamberton 6, Marshall 5
LAMBERTON — The Marshall amateur baseball team fell to Lamberton 6-5 on Friday.
Matt Hmielewski led Marshall with three hits, including a home run, and four RBI while Logan Tomasek added a hit and an RBI and Alex Thompson had a hit.
Tomasek took the loss in relief, going 2 1/3 innings while allowing two runs on five hits and struck out two. Hmielewski earned the start, going 4 2/3 innings while allowing four runs on three hits and struck out five.
Colby Pack led Lamberton with two hits and two RBI while Tyler Reiner and Josh Altermatt each added a hit and an RBI and Neil Eichten and Donald Strand each had two hits.
Derrick Jenniges earned the victory in relief, going five innings while allowing two runs on one hit and struck out four.
