On Saturday, the Seattle Storm officially clinched a spot in the 2020 WNBA playoffs. They were the first WNBA team to accomplish this feat so far.
Following an 88-74 win over the Chicago Sky, Seattle (13-3) remains at the top of the WNBA standings and has a 0.5 game lead over the Las Vegas Aces.
But that wasn't even the best part of the Storm's day.
Sue Bird, the 16-year veteran, 3x WNBA champion and 11x All-Star, was mic'd up on the bench.
Talking to the refs, singing along to The Weeknd, and letting out a little scream… it was pure comedy.
Enjoy.
What, I have the cooties? I'm the only one who touched it. I got the cooties?
I guess it's a good thing they didn't play WAP today 😆 https://t.co/gjV70aKXnJ

[Listen to the Talkin' Blazers Podcast with hosts NBA Champion Channing Frye and Emmy Award winner Dan Sheldon and special guest Allie Clifton].
Bird missed her fourth consecutive game while nursing a knee injury. Through 15 total games, she has only made seven appearances.
There are five more games in the regular season before the playoffs begin. The top five teams are all within three games of one another, so if Bird can get back to full strength, that will only continue to make Seattle the team to beat late in the season.
