Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukraine has managed to return 1,456 people from Russian captivity.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his annual address to the Verkhovna Rada on December 28, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“Since February 24, our team has managed to free 1,456 people from Russian captivity. This is significant. I am happy to see everyone returning to Ukraine," he said.
At the same time, the President has assured that everything will be done to bring home all Ukrainian people who are currently in Russian captivity.
"The goal of restoring Ukraine’s territorial integrity always goes hand in hand for us with another goal of freeing all our people who are held in Russian captivity or in prisons, as well as all those who were forcibly deported from our land," Zelensky emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, December 28, delivered his annual address to the Verkhovna Rada.
