Christmas is here, winter is here, and soon it will be 2022, so Happy New Year to everyone. In much of the Lehigh Valley, we haven’t as of yet seen any bad winter weather, but there’s a lot of time ahead for that to happen.
We’ve had some unusually warm weather spells in December, which has cut down on the number of wild birds that visit feeders. But that will change if and when temperatures drop and/or we get some snow.
Sightings of daytime white-tailed deer and other animals have also been few and far between in the recent warm temperatures. And, although this is just my observation, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of dead raccoons or other animals along roadsides.
