Couple Rescues Tiny Bird While 50 Miles Out to Sea and the Video Is Precious - Yahoo Life

Warblers usually live on dry land and are not found at sea. While they may fly over large bodies of water during their migratory flights, they are not adapted for life on the open sea like gulls or petrels.

Which is why this adorable little guy found by TikTok user @Dolphindronedom and his partner while sailing fifty miles off the coat of San Diego decided to hitch a ride back to dry land with them.

He's so precious and trusting! TikTok users have fallen in love with this pint-sized mariner and @Anya says, "How cute are his markings! He looks like such a little bada*s!" @Memaz adds, "That warbler did NOT want to leave the hat." @Dana says, “I’m the captain now” was all I could think seeing it on his hat." LOL! He's such a cute little captain. @Krstn replies, "He’s like “Wait I thought we were all going home to your place?” @Sara comments, "Lol he was like no, thank you- I am comfy sleeping in this hat."

It was suggested in the comments that this is a Magnolia Warbler, and these birds have been known to travel up to 3,000 miles from where they were born to their wintering grounds. There's no telling if this guy became lost while migrating or what but he sure seems happy to be rescued and back on dry land.

What an amazing memory for this couple while sailing! We are positive this is one trip they won't soon forget due to their adorable little stowaway!
